Greta MORGAN Obituary
Mum drew her last breath on July 15 after spending a week in the kind care of Victoria Hospice. Born in Yorkshire England and raised in London, she graduated top of her high school and was whisked off to Bletchley Park to work as a code-breaker in the same hut as Alan Turing. Later in WW2 she was a Third Officer (linguist) with the WRNS, intercepting and translating communications from U-Boats and German fighter pilots. Marriage to a Naval Officer yielded four children in six and a half years. She later worked in schools in Montreal and for the Ontario Ministry of Education. She loved opera, the symphony, long walks, all dogs and a nice glass of Prosecco. She was predeceased by her ex-husband and beloved baby Jeremy, and survived by children Vanessa, Anthony and Julia, grandsons Timothy and Ben, as well as nieces and nephews and their families on three continents.
Cremation has taken place.
