Gustav Zilkie Obituary
ZILKIE, Gustav (Gus) November 24, 1926 - June 30, 2022 Known to most as Gus, Uncle Gus and Dad, he led a productive and fulfilling life. Children David and Linda (Ken Mitchell) with Evelyn (Zilkie) LeQuesne. Predeceased by loving wife, Kathleen (Mortimore) Zilkie. A professional and talented carpenter for over 70 years, building many homes in Saanich and Victoria, two family homes and a summer cabin, a winter sleigh for us kids, and known for his cabinetry, benches, misc. projects and renos. Gus was an avid gardener, loved playing country music, participated in several choirs, enjoyed poker, scrabble and pool and dedicated many hours as a volunteer driver. Special thanks to the caring staff and many friends at Berwick House in Saanich. Forever in our Hearts In lieu of flowers, please donate to the SPCA or animal rescue.
