Harry Leong Obituary
LEONG, Harry Hung Wun
Harry passed away on September 7, 2023 at the age of 94 with all three generations of his family by his side. He is survived by his sister Bernice (Steven) Chan, his daughter, May Lin, his sons, Merlin (Amy) and John, his four grandchildren, Ingrid (Michael), Derrek, Mark (Jill), and Rachel, his great granddaughter, Margot May. The family is deeply grateful for the care provided by May Lin to her father over many years.
Harry was born in Zhongshan, China and came to Canada in 1950. Harry and his wife, Sau Lan, were married for 46 years but Sau Lan sadly passed away in 1993. Harry and Sau Lan owned Harry's Flowers, the oldest flower shop in Victoria, and were well loved by all. Harry loved singing, eating, cooking, fishing, and an occasional trip to the casino. His good looks and charming smile were recognized in every eating establishment in Victoria.
A Service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's name may be directed to Victoria Hospice at: victoriahospice.org
