I spent many Happy Hours with both John and Helen living next door to them on Cordova Bay. They taught me how to make special drinks!! Marj

I fondly remember Helen having worked with her for many years at UVic Health Services. I always loved listening to her stories about her adventures with her husband John...told with her broad Scottish accent. She had the ability to find the humour in most things but would listen kindly when the situation warranted. I'm so sorry for your loss Janice and Scott.

Dear Janice and Scott and families,
I am so sorry to hear that your mom has died. She was a good friend of my parents, Polina and Paul, and a very lively and kind person.
My condolences to you and your families.

I knew Mrs. Eaton through Fairfield United Church. She was a
close family friend. She was always interested with what we were up to. I will remember her smiling face and her beautiful accent. Many fond memories of her stories and questions.
Much Love to all of her family.

Yes, your mom will be missed. I will forever cherish my time drinking tea, eating shortbread and listening to stories of her long well lived life. Being taught the art of making a good pot of tea. How she loved and was so proud of her family. My deepest condolences. May she rest in peace with her beloved John again enjoying hot toddy´s with him. I am going to miss the ring of my phone hearing `OH Karen!´. She always made me smile!
