Paul and I send condolences to friends Rick & Marg and Ernie's family. Also sending on behalf of everyone in the Island Vintage Thunderbird Club as Ernie joined us for club events over the years. It was always good to see him as Ernie was so good at talking to everyone like he had known you a long time. Good wishes to all who knew such a kind and generous man.

Ernie was well known in the Duncan area at Shop Easy when I was growing up. He was someone that was looked up to for his generosity, and kindness.
He will certainly be missed.
Condolences to the family.

We met Ernie through friends and we couldn't help but form a friendship as well. That was the person Ernie was. He always met you with that great smile, had a good story you could have a great laugh about, and had a gleam in his eye when he spoke about his family. Ernie had one of those special hearts that could always turn something good out of something bad. Our hearts feel a sadness for his family for what they have lost, but a happiness for what he has now found peace and love forever

Ernie was a Legendary icon. Every friends son or daughter wanted to work for Thrifty Foods. Mr Skinner gave them their first job. Folks do not forget a man like that.
Always a man you could have good conversation with and always interested in how your life was going.
A very kind and gentle man never to be forgotten. I can just imagine the happiness that he felt when he closed his eyes and seen his beloved Carol waiting for him. Together forever
