DICK, Herbert April 6, 1922 to June 28th, 2007 Predeceased by his sisters Barbara, Edna, Minnie, Stell, and brothers Roy and Bill. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years Isabella "Isa" and son Rodney. Brothers Alf and Orm and several nieces and nephews, Laurel, Rhonda, Jane, Judy, Valerie, Randy, Brian, Grant, Collin, David. Herb was born in Keith Scotland. As a young man Herb immigrated with his family to Canada settling in Dauphin, Manitoba. He enrolled in the Royal Canadian Navy March 24, 1941 and served overseas during WWII and retired from the Navy Jan. 21, 1966. After retirement he worked for an investment company and owned and operated a small grocery business as well as a motel prior. Herb loved animals. His passion, from his youth in Scotland, was horses, he owned and trained several race horses over the years both Thoroughbred and Standardbred RaceHorses. Cremation will be followed by a memorial service at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Drive., July 5th 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated. 385844
