TODD, Hilda
Passed away on November 4, 2025 at the age of 99. Born on February 6, 1926, to Abraham and Helena Reimer, in Warman Sask. Hilda was the 11th of 16 children and the last to survive. In 1958, the family (of Abraham and Helena) was said to have been the largest in Canada, with no deaths or divorces.
In 1938 Hilda, along with a few other siblings, moved to British Columbia. She found employment in Victoria as a nanny. While attending a Christian youth group (Glad Tidings Church in Victoria), she met and married her beloved husband, Jack Todd. In the fall of 1958, Jack, Hilda and their 5 children loaded up a truck and moved south to California, where employment was bountiful. In 1979, Hilda, Jack and two of their 5 children returned to Victoria.
Hilda leaves behind her children Edith (Marco Mixco) of Fremont, California, Doreen (Keith Hague) of Tyler, Texas, Alf (Patty) of Victoria, BC, Calvin (Connie) of Tyler, Texas and Ken (Ingeborg) of Victoria, BC. Hilda leaves behind many grandchildren, many, many more great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.
You will be missed , Mom.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Goldstream Foodbank. A private burial has taken place at Hatley Memorial Gardens. Service of Remembrance to be held at Colwood Church, 2250 Sooke Rd., at 2:00pm on Friday, November 14, 2025 with refreshments to follow.
