Hugh Strain Obituary

STRAIN, Hugh James Jim Strain peacefully slipped away on July 13th in Victoria, BC. Born in Eston, SK in 1929 he was the original Oilman who pioneered the high arctic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He has left his loved ones behind and his footprints for generations to follow. The Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20th at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC at 2:00pm. 631724

LAURENE & FAMILY
OUR SINCERE REGRETS ON THE LOSS OF JIM.
SO MANY FOND MEMORIES STARTING WITH
WORKING FOR JIM IN REGINA IN 1957,CURLING TOGETHER IN CALGARY IN THE
LATE 70'S AND EARLY 80'S AND THAN IN
ST JOHNS IN THE EARLY 90'S WITH MANY
TRIPS OUT TO YOUR HOME WHERE WARM
HOSPITALITY WAS ALWAYS PROVIDED. AND
FINALLY IN SEPT 2009 WHEN JIM TOOK US
IN HIS BOAT TO THE HOME ON THE ISLAND.
ALL MEMORIES OF A WONDERFUL MAN.
