I always enjoyed Ian’s company, whether seeing him at a community event, between periods of a hockey game or just having a coffee with someone. He had integrity and an honesty that was rare and engaging. There are certain people in life you wish you had spent more time with, and for me, Ian was one. My sincere condolences to the family.

Ian was a good friend to our whole family. He inspired Tom to shave his head, as a teacher, for Cops for Cancer.

Sorry to hear. What a good family man, a great community person and a good guy to know.

I got to know Ian and Margaret and Gavin in the late 80s in Warman Saskatchewan while he lived and served with the RCMP detachment in our community. Ian always had a funny story and a smile. My thoughts are with the family. Rest in peace Ian.
