Ini Herron Obituary
HERRON, Ini Maria (nee Welten)
Ini M. Herron passed away 13 January 2026, after a lengthy battle with Cancer. She received Hospice care at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. Ini is predeceased by her best friend and loving husband Robert (Bob) Herron, (9 September 2020). She was born in the Netherlands on 1 December 1945. The Welten family emigrated to Canada in 1950 and settled in St Thomas, ON.
Survived by her family, Larry Renaud, Sarnia, ON; Mia (Dale) Delorme, Camlachie, ON, Vicki Tichbourne, Owen Sound, ON; Bob Goldsmith, Guelph, ON; and Jo-Ann (Ross) Young, Toronto, ON, and nieces and nephews. Ini is predeceased by sisters Nicky Renaud, Martina Goldsmith, and her parents Peter Welten, Frances Nuyen and step-father Martin Nuyen.
Cremation has taken place and a private Interment will be at Woodlands Cemetery in London, ON. A celebration of life for Ini will be held in London, ON and information will be disseminated at a future date when details have been finalized.
In lieu of flowers, Ini has requested donations to BC SPCA, 3150 Napier Lane, Victoria, BC V8T 4V5 or BCCA (Victoria Cancer Agency), 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria BC, V8R 6V5.
