Irene: Although we have had little contact in the last few years, the memories of your kindness has never left my heart. You gave a special type of sanctuary to souls that needed to sing and broken hearts that needed mending.
God bless you Irene and I hope your own soul can dance and sing happily forever at peace now.

Throughout my life I have looked at you as my grandmother. You have always been apart of my life and losing you will make the world a little dimmer.
"A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning
A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let it ring
We are all a part of everything
The future, present and the past
Fly on proud bird
You're free at last."

What a lady. We will miss Irene's presence in the Community. I have a lot of fond memories of Bereakfast at the Westwind and later lunching at Hatchies. Irene your frequent visits to the flower shop always thinking of someone else and how to make them feel good. You always had a smile on your face and love in your heart. The Lady Bug Greffs

what a great lady. hard working waitress with a legion of regulars and a favourite of staff as well. i was the kitchen manager at Hatchy's and have a lot of great memories of Irene, from the Gorilla visit on her birthday one year to the time she leg-wrestled one of our smaller cooks. she won, i have the picture.
a lady with a huge heart and a work ethic to match, the likes of her are hard to come by these days. i'm glad to have known her.
