Jack Fredrickson Obituary

FREDRICKSON, Jack Raymond April 30, 1932 June 29, 2010 After battling cancer for only a few months, Jack took his last breath at Victoria Hospice at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. He will be terribly missed by his wife of 54 years, Roberta, his children, son Reg (Ingrid), daughter Jacqueline Heaps, and son Jeff. Also his grandchildren, Meghan and Sean Fredrickson and Breann and Hayley Heaps and his sister Margaret (Om) of Los Angeles. Jack retired in 1988 after 35 years of service with the B.C. Provincial Government, all of which was with the Ministry of Transportation. He loved his retirement where he could garden and enjoy life on the water on his boat. Jack was a member of the Capital City Yacht Club and also a member of the Victoria Cruising Club. In the winter he also used to loved curling at Victoria Curling Club. Jack will be cremated at First Memorial with a simple service for family on July 7th, @1:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date (to be announced). In lieu of flowers a donation to Victoria Hospice or B.C. Cancer Foundation in Jack's memory would be appreciated. 595093

Roberta, I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. What a shock! Jack was one of the finest I had ever worked with and played with. All of those good times on the curling ice, the many years with the Ministry. Jack had a superb work ethic. One we all aspired to.
Be strong Roberta and know that his suffering is over and he is now in God's hands resting peacefully.
