Jack's name brings back many memories from my brief time in the navy, especially on the soccer field. Jack was a gifted player, a no-nonsense person who played hard and fair. Sadly many who grew up in his era are passing on. Rest in peace, my friend. Richard ( Dick ) Austin Victoria BC

I remember Jack, (I was an RCN electrician, too). His reputation as a strong referee often irked people, but he never wavered in his decisions. I am two years his junior and I wish him well on his last journey. My sincere condolences to those left behind.
