So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I knew him in the 1960's when we were both in the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, also played chamber music with Jack. He was a fine musician and a kind person, and will be missed.

I first met Jack when I joined the CPO Band several years ago. He was such a fine conductor and musician. He was my role model and I respected him greatly....my condolences to the family for this loss.

Dear Vivian and family, Souzann and I were so saddened to hear of Jacks passing. I have known him since I joined the LDSH Band in Calgary in 1958 and have had the joy of playing with him and for him in so many varied musical situations over the years. He was such a fine musician whether he was playing or conducting, and ,of course you couldn't find a better person to call a good friend. So sorry for your loss Vivian. sincerely, Myles & Souzann McMillan

So sorry to hear. I will have so many good memories of Jack. Especially on the water -- either on the race course -- usually ahead of me; or cruising up the west coast of the island. Rest in peace Jack

Dad was adventurous, warm-hearted, and loving. He was a great listener and very empathetic. I will miss him! He was truly a beautiful man.

I'm so truly sorry for your loss jack was a wonderful human being with a heart of gold and smile that could warm a room. He never had anything but pleasant greetings and good things to say. When we were younger and hanging with rob he put up with all our loud abnoxious behaviours with never more than an eye roll. I haven't seen him for quite a few years but I have fond memories and will cherish them always. My deepest condolences to you Rob, Vivian and the rest of the family in your loss, may you have comfort in the knowledge that he is no longer in any pain and can be at peace.
