Jane Poole Obituary
Surrounded by family and friends, Mum danced into the afterlife on July 5, 2022, on her terms, after a brief illness in Victoria, BC where she resided for 30 years. A lover of bridge, shoes (too many to count), Miatas (she owned 10), felines, food, friendship, conversation and laughter, Jane lived life out loud. Always curious, opinionated and enthusiastic with a great sense of humour right to the end. There is no doubt Mum is zoom-zooming through the stars in Miata #11 and lighting up heaven with her brilliant smile.
Predeceased by her husband Ross and son Brian (Vero), Jane leaves behind her daughters Laurie (Scott) of Dallas and Sarah of Montreal, brother Frank Hanson of Toronto and her beloved cat Ophie. She was the proud Grams to Krysten (Jason), Nick (Gertrude), Kellie, Mike (Allison), MacKenzie, Cole and loving Great-Grams to Mikayla and Blake.
The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the medical staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital who supported and comforted Mum and us during the last two weeks. Special thanks to Drs Elrick, Reiser and Sheikh and nurses Mikayala, Nicole, Chloe, Alanna and Peter who made Mum's journey so much easier.
A celebration of life will be held in Victoria this October with details to follow.
