GROSETH, Janet Elaine
Janet Elaine Groseth, 88, died peacefully at the Marjorie Willoughby Kamloops Hospice on November 11, 2022.
Janet was born on August 5, 1934, in Calgary, AB to Harry and Ila Arkinstall. She had two older brothers Charles and Harry. Janet's family moved to Victoria where she later met and married Robert Groseth.
Janet is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Robert and her brothers Charles and Harry.
She is survived by five children, Roxanne (Bill) Mooney, Steven (Carolyn), Valerie (Jan) Versendaal, Lance (Serap) and Annette (Leonard); twelve grandchildren Allison, Paul, Jaclynn, Rachael, Conyr, Nicholas, Nolan, Melissa, Paige, Kira, Emily and Megan; five great grandchildren Ryland, Taylor, Olivia, Juliette and Stella.
Janet was a long-time, dedicated and active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and belonged to the congregation of the United Church of Canada. She spent her last 16 years as a resident of Berwick on the Park Retirement Home in Kamloops, BC, where she made many friends and enjoyed activities such as playing cards, bingo, and Wii bowling. She loved to garden and was always busy with flowering pots on her patio.
Janet's appreciation for a good joke, her gentle demeanour and her kind spirit will be sorely missed.

Private family memorial service to be held in Victoria, BC in Spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers/gifts please consider a donation to Kamloops Hospice Association.

So very sorry to hear of Janet's passing. I have known Janet for several years as part of the Kamloops United Church and as a telephone buddy during these Covid years when we couldn't visit in person. I so enjoyed our friendship and many conversations. I will miss Janet.
