Jasbir S. Gill

October 23, 1960 - July 29, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Jasbir Singh Gill. He passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the age of 55. Jasbir Gill is survived by his wife of 24 years, Simarjit Kaur Gill; daughter, Goneet Kaur Gill; and son, Harpartap Singh Gill. Jasbir was born to parents, S. Teja Singh Gill and Harbhajan Kaur Gill, on September 23, 1960 in Malout Mandi, Punjab, India. He grew up with his nine other siblings in Zira, Punjab. In 1986, Jasbir Gill graduated from the University of Rajasthan with a bachelor in laws. Then in 1992, he married Simarjit Kaur Gill in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. After his marriage, he moved to Canada with his wife, where he lived for the rest of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Jasbir's family is very thankful for all the condolences and support. The service will be held at the First Memorial Funeral Services Chapel, 4725 Falaise Dr, Victoria, BC, Canada on August 7 2016. The funeral service will begin at 11 am and following that there will be a ceremony at the Sikh Temple on 470 Cecelia St.
