Jeannine Notenberg Obituary

NOTENBERG, Jeannine Anne Jeannine Anne Notenberg, 55, of Victoria, BC passed away on March 8th, 2021 at home with her family. Jeannine was born in Peace River, Alberta to Ronald and Jacqueline Seward on December 5th, 1965. She went to high school at Mt. Doug and graduated in 1983. Earning a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Victoria led to her teaching position in 100 Mile House. She met her husband-to-be in the outfield of the slo-pitch diamond during a summer break in Victoria, only to return to Victoria for good the following summer. The friends Jeannine made while working at MYRA Systems and BC Pension Corporation made working that much more enjoyable. Jeannine enjoyed dancing (tap/ballroom/for fun), team sports like softball and volleyball, watching figure skating, gardening, reading, and most of all, time at the beach with friends and family. Her smile was infectious and inviting, and she welcomed everyone with an open heart. If her smile didn't reel you in, her frequent laughter of enjoying the simple things in life surely would. Family meant everything to Jeannine, and it showed in the effort she put into making our house an inviting home to all who knew her, as well as, the pure joy and pride she took in being a mother. Her "Bride Chicks" and so many others, who supported her throughout her life, showed what true friends they had always been during her final weeks. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the great health professionals who made her feel safe and well cared for during her medical struggles. Jeannine is survived by her husband Scott, mother Jacqueline, brothers Mitchell and Murray, daughter Britney, and son Max. She is preceded in death by her father Ronald. Due to COVID-19 we are uncertain when a celebration of life will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Victoria Hospice and Inspire Health. https://victoriahospice.org/how-you-can-help/ways-to-donate/donate/ https://www.inspirehealth.ca/donate/makeadonation/

The most kind, honest and humble person I have had the pleasure of playing ball with and having as a neighbour. Her gentle voice and infectious laugh and smile will be hugely missed. My heart goes out to Max, Brittany and Scott.
