JOAN MACDONALD Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Joan MacDonald. She passed away peacefully in her home on July 7, 2021 with her family around her. Pre-deceased by her husband Archie MacDonald, survived by her son Ian MacDonald (Keyo), daughter Elaine McIlveen (Robert) and granddaughters Ashley and Kaitlyn. She was loved by many for her caring and generous spirit. Thank you to the VIHA Home Support team, Hospice Nurses and Dr. Ryan Liebscher for their care and support. Joan's celebration of life will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at Saanich Peninsula Presbyterian Church, 9296 East Saanich Road (streaming at: saanichpeninsulapc.org). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Healthcare Foundation.

Joan was a lovely woman. John and I always enjoyed seeing her and conversing with her over the years & at the annual Christmas open houses. I know she will be missed dearly.
