Joan Elizabeth Pickles, born August 6, 1928, died March 24, 2023. Joan was a daughter, sister, aunt, traveller, nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend. As an avid knitter, she wanted the last words about her to be "I finished my row".
A Mass Intention for Joan will be said Sunday, September 17th at 9:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Parish, 4049 Gordon Head Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Red Cross would be appreciated.

Jane, my condolences to you and your family at this sad time. I remember your Mom as a gentle and kind lady, a fantastic knitter and a good cook. These many decades later, I still remember some pork chops she made that were so delicious. I hope you find comfort in the support and love from family and friends.
