CROFT, Dr. John Henry Dr. John Henry Croft, surrounded by his family, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 16th, 2017 at the age of 85. Born in Birmingham England, John attended the University of Birmingham graduating with a degree in Medicine and went on to specialize in Anesthesiology. As a young man, John immigrated to Canada with his wife and young family, moving first to Alberta before settling in Victoria where he worked at the Victoria General Hospital for a number of years prior to retirement. He is predeceased by his parents, older brother and sister, David and Muriel and cherished grandson, Rupert. John will be greatly missed by his dear wife, Lillian, his children, Daryl (Julie), Liz (Mike), Janet (Gilbert), Andrew (Gillian), grandchildren and great grandchildren, many other relatives in the British Isles and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and physicians at the Royal Jubilee Hospital for the gentle care they provided to John and his family. A Memorial Service celebrating John's life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Saturday, February 4th at 2:00pm.
