PHILLIPS, John Findlay
February 9, 1937 - December 22, 2022
John passed quietly on December 22, 2022. He is survived by his wife Anne (née McMillan), son Rod (Angela) Phillips, daughter Melanie (Byron) Postle, brothers Bill & David & grandchildren Samantha, Nicholas, Nathan, Grace & Chloe.
John was a career civil servant with the Province of BC and loved spending his later years between Victoria & Palm Springs. He could often be found on the golf course, gardening in the backyard and always with a gentle grin.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre, at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on Thursday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00pm.

Dear Anne and family
We're sad to hear of John's passing, and send our sympathy to you and your family. John and I spent a happy year together when I was about 12, and John was studying at Ryerson in Toronto. John patiently shot endless tennis balls at me in my quest to become an NHL goalie.
Bill and Alice Phillips kept us up to date on how John was doing over the past few years.
