John Pigott died peacefully in his 92nd year on February 24, 2026, at Victoria General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

John was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, the son of the late Roy and Evelyn Pigott. He was the fourth of six children and the last surviving sibling. After graduating from the University of Ottawa, he articled to become a Chartered Accountant in Montreal.
