John Saunders Obituary
January 13, 1937 - March 29, 2025
John was born and educated in Montreal. He received a DipEd from Macdonald College, a BA from Sir George Williams College and an MED from McGill University. He was a teacher and guidance counselor for the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal; Headmaster at Sir George William high school, Director of schools, Concordia University; Director of development, Concordia University and president, Madrona Consulting. John has been a professional fundraiser for over 30 years. He enjoys reading, canoeing, fishing, hiking and camping.
There will a celebration of life held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at St. John's The Baptist Church, 3295 Cobble Hill Road.

It was my privilege meeting John at the Rotary Club of Royal Oak in the early 2000s, staying in touch thru Facebook. I always appreciated his wisdom and knowledge. I'm glad to have known him.

Thinking of John's family on reading of his passing. I met John years ago through our mutual work helping those who want to support the causes that are important to them. He stayed in touch each year with a kind and thoughtful message at Christmas and as the new year dawned.

Very sorry about the death of John. He was one of my favorite members of the Rotary Club of Victoria BC. We will hold a rememberance for John at Rotary. My condolences to Vicki and family.
