John SCANLON Obituary
John Anthony "Jack" Scanlon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 24, 1932. As a young man, he joined the US Marine Corps, and was stationed at Okinawa, Japan. Later, Jack joined the Madonna House Apostolate as a missionary, where he was instrumental in the early days of Marian Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan and field houses in the US and Canada. Finally, Jack settled in Victoria, BC, where he worked at a variety of jobs, ending his career as a civil servant. Sadly, Jack passed away on November 28, 2017. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Louise, his sister, Marge, and all his family and friends. We would like to thank Dr. Ross McKay and the staff at the Kiwanis Pavilion for their kind care and attention. A memorial service celebrating Jack's life will take place at 12:10 pm on Tuesday, December 5th at St. Andrew's Catholic Cathedral, 740 View Street, Victoria, BC.
