John Shaw Obituary

SHAW, John A. (Tony)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, John A. Shaw (Tony), on November 16, 2025. Tony is survived by his loving wife Sharon, his son David (Susan), his daughter Tracy (Jim) as well as two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
He also leaves his brother-in-law Rick (Lois), as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and some very dear friends. Tony was predeceased by his sister Barbara and his brother Peter.
Tony served in the "Navy" for 10 years before joining the Saanich Police Department for a 25-year career. What brought him the most joy was working as a School Liaison Officer in the final few years with the Department.
After retirement Tony and Sharon built a home in Central Saanich, where they enjoyed gardening, the wildlife, and the sunsets, with their two dogs.
Tony was a gentle, calm and kind man who loved animals and his family. He will be missed dearly.
As per Tony's request, there will not be a Funeral Service. Instead, the family encourages that you simply take the time to remember Tony in your own way.
