John H. Walcot

WALCOT, John H. Passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on September 10, 2009 with family by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret in 2007. He leaves behind his son, Bill (Pat); grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike), Heather (Peter), Stephen (Nancy); great-grandchildren, Kurtis, Chelsea, Devon, Kayleigh, Scott, Courtney and Olivia as well as many relatives and friends. John was born in Duncan on April 4, 1916 and spent most of his life on Vancouver Island. He loved the sea and was a passionate historian. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed the company of his friends. A private family memorial will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association, 1627 Fort Street, Victoria, BC V8R 1H8.
