I have vague memories of John, Lori, Nancie, Sharon and Joanne from 1967/68 when my father, Lorne Wood, was posted from Shearwater to Pat Bay. My father always enjoyed meeting up with his cousins from Tweed. So sorry to hear about John's passing.

Heartfelt condolences Lori on John's passing. We first met John at bingo where he was loved by everyone. We met up with you both in palm springs and enjoyed playing golf with the two of you.We will miss his humor and friendship.

John was a valued shipmate in HMCS Terra Nova. A memorable 5 month trip to the shores of Viet Nam in 1973 (WestPloy73) as a secondary method of evacuation for the peace keeping troops out of Viet Nam near the end of the war. The attached photo is of John along with 34 others receiving a special service medal and the peace keeping medal by the lieutenant governor (Janet Austin) in the chamber of the BC Legislature. Condolences to John's family and friends from the crew of HMCS Terra Nova
