Here's to my adorable Dad, Joe Murphy!
Dad was beloved for good reason. The heart and soul of any hooley, his stories, quips and comebacks were hilarious - at times, legendary. His intellectual curiosity never waned even as his memory faltered, and he stuck to his belief in standing up for a just society and doing good in the world. He wasn't afraid of a fight; yet, as a Dad and a friend, he was sweet-natured, encouraging and loving.
No doubt there's much rejoicing star-side as he joins the rest of my family there, including his one-and-only love, my Mom, Sally (McKarris), his first-born daughter, my sister, Kathleen, and his adorable, furry sidekick, doggo, Katie. He leaves just me, his youngest, Maureen, and he's missed and loved by me more than I can express.
May the long time sun shine upon you
All love surround you
And the pure light within you
