Joseph STEC Obituary

Joseph Stec passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 18, 2025. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Wiktoria, his daughters Joanne (Doug), Lisa (Jeff), Nicole (James), and Tricia (Ben), and seven adored grandchildren: Darius, Kyria, Trinity, Owen, Josh, Ella and Ethan. He also leaves behind his sister, Toni (Colin), and his extended family including Milosz (Ula) and Hania (Rysiek) who always showed their love and care. Born in Poland where he met his future wife, Wiktoria, Joe moved to Victoria at 14 to join his mother, Zofia, where he built a life full of love, laughter and hard work. He was known for his friendly nature, generous spirit, and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. Joe spent his work life at BC Packers, Sears and finally the Victoria School Board where he retired in June of 2012. He also proudly ran his own carpet cleaning business throughout these years. A devoted family man, Joe loved scouting for Christmas trees, watching the Canucks, camping trips, mini-golf and bowling battles, crib and canasta matches and a good dance party. In later years, he found joy feeding the neighbourhood ducks and watching the birds visit his yard. The family extends their most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rosenberg and his home team for their compassion, support and wonderful care.
May the force be with you, Dad.
