Joyce S. CLEMENTS

October 26, 1940 - February 26, 2026

With profound sadness we announce Joyce's passing while in long term care at Resthaven Lodge in Sidney, February 26, 2026. She was born in Victoria October 26, 1940 and predeceased by husband Doug in 2019 and son Dan in 2024. Joyce is survived by son Chris (Janet), stepdaughter Karen (Wayne), grandsons Aaron, Jesse, Greg, Stephen and Brett and 4 great-grandchildren, in addition to 6 Waterman brothers. Joyce worked at UVic for over 30 years, primarily in the Admissions Department, prior to her retirement in 1997. She and Doug enjoyed many trips to Hawaii and numerous cruises. Once retired, she enjoyed trips to Italy, among other locations, with good friends. She was an avid gardener, taking great pride in cultivating flowers that would be the envy of any regular Butchart Gardens visitor! Joyce was a very loving and doting grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with all...including trips with them to Disneyland and Hawaii. Special Thanks and Utmost Appreciation to All the Dedicated Staff at Resthaven Lodge - words cannot describe the gratitude Joyce's family has for the collective effort and support you have all given over the past 8 years. Service will be held 2:00 PM on April 24th at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive in Royal Oak. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
