Joyce E. Menzies

September 15, 1930 - October 16, 2025

Joy passed away peacefully at age 95. She was born in Victoria, grew up on Monterey Avenue, graduated from Oak Bay High School, and lived a long and full life in Victoria and Brentwood Bay (Willis Point). She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, deep love for family and friends and a passion for gardening, baking and desserts. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Colin, and their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. She is also survived by her sister, Lorna. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel, and her sisters, Marian, Stella and Phyllis.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sidney All Care Residence and Amica Beechwood Village for their kind and compassionate care. As per Joy's wishes, there will be no service. In remembrance of Joy, donations may be made to the Goldstream Volunteer Salmonoid Enhancement Association which was dear to her heart as she worked as a volunteer for decades at the Goldstream Salmon Hatchery.
