Judith KOWAL Obituary

We regretfully announce the passing of Judith Ann (McGraw) Kowal of Victoria BC on August 29, 2022. She passed away peacefully from a sudden and unexpected heart event.

Judith was born in northern Ontario in 1949. In 1966 she met Ken, and they were married in 1968. Together they moved to Victoria, British Columbia in 1973 and started a family. Judith was a fulltime mother who worked part time as a bookkeeper and receptionist for their veterinary business. Her joy revolved around her family, friends, bridge, travel, card making and spending time at her Happy Place in Parksville watching the sun set. Judith and Ken were married for 54 years and there was nothing more fulfilling in her life than ensuring Ken was kept busy with "just" projects while supplying many helpful instructions.

Judith was one of the kindest and most thoughtful women to ever walk this earth. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who dedicated her life to making sure everyone was taken care of. We were beyond fortunate to have had her as the head of our family, and her presence will be forever missed and impossible to replace.

Judith is survived by her husband Ken, sister Jane, step brother Michael, children Heather (Mark) and Mark (Corey) as well as 5 grandchildren Maya, Carter, Jackson, Linden, and Malcolm.

A celebration of life will be held in Judith's memory on October 15th, 2022 at 2:30pm at the Shoal Center in Sidney, BC.

Ken and family, I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Judith. Ken, whenever I saw the two of you together it was always so apparent about how much you adored and respected Judith. She lit up a room when she entered and her smile was so kind, gentle and sincere.

I was saddened to hear of Judith´s untimely passing. I spent many afternoons tormenting her with my inept bridge playing, but all in good fun. She will be missed, my condolences to Ken, her family and sister Jane. Joan( Robinson) McMillan

Very Sad to think Judith is away from us now and will not be at another bridge table with us. She was such a force and as I remember her, always smiling.
