Julie was our son´s teacher and she made a such a positive difference in his life. He now loves to read and practice spelling and that´s due to Julie´s influence. I am sure this is true for many, many students who were lucky enough to have Julie as a teacher. Please accept our sincerest condolences.

We were surprised to hear about Julie. My husband and I enjoyed sitting with her during our time together at New Hope church. She sang well and we would talk about teaching and her small group experiences. See you in Our Father's House, Julie.

On behalf of Dorothy (Auntie Dot) Julie´s Mom, and myself, her sister, thank you all for your warm words. I read these posts to her yesterday during the morning hour of Julie´s cremation and it was a soothing honour to hear from you, student, piers, and family. You are all in our hearts

I was so saddened to read that Julie had passed away. I had the privilege of teaching across the hall from Julie for many years at Oaklands. I always admired her dedication to and enthusiasm for, "her kids." Julie was a great colleague and a bright light at Oaklands School. Personally, though I long ago left the room across the hall, I will always cherish the patience and the kindness she afforded to me, the too loud, slightly off key guy across the hall. Miss Hamilton. Gone, but well remembered. Blessings to her family and friends at this time.

I was so sad to hear of Miss Hamilton´s passing. She was a wonderful teacher who truly cared for her kids. She taught my boys Casey and Cooper, and she made a difference in their lives. They remember her fondly all these years later. Sending our deepest condolences to everyone who knew and loved Julie.

Upon her arrival to Oaklands School, Julie´s integrity, her capacity for caring and her innate and learned teaching abilities were quickly appreciated by all-colleagues, students and those in the community. She consistently led by example and everyone associated with Oaklands School, including myself, were the beneficiaries of her expertise and commitment. The many kindnesses she readily extended to all should never be forgotten. (Randy Kaneen, former Oaklands School Principal)

I will always remember Julie for her sweet voice and joyful spirit, she was always so happy and cheerful. Her relationship with her mom reminded me that of two sisters. I admired her dedication to to the education of her students and of herself. I wish I had got to spend more time with her. Rest in peace my dear sister in law.
