TODD, June Katherine June 15, 1918 - November 9, 2016 We lost our beautiful mother June Katherine Todd (nee Edmison) when she died peacefully on November 9, 2016 at the age of 98 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, B.C. She is predeceased by her husband John Todd and her youngest child Mark Elliot Taylor of ALS February 18, 2015. She leaves her children Judy Taylor, Dr. William Wood, John Wood, Jillian Taylor (Alec), Jeremy (Nikki) Taylor, Susan Taylor, grandchildren Matthew (Alex) Blalock, Ruby Taylor, Alex and Nicholas Taylor, and Erika and Dr. Elizabeth Wood who joined her to celebrate her 98th birthday in June and later. Born in Brandon, Manitoba on June 15, 1918 to Dr. John Henry Edmison and Mary Adelaide MacMillan, she attended the University of Toronto and received a Master's degree in Social work in 1941. With her 'Joie de vivre' and Danish 'happy gene' she inspired all her children to discover the world and magic of music as she herself had done. Known for her beauty, class and being recognized by W.O. Mitchell in the Winnipeg train station when he declared "June, I've modeled the main character after you in my latest book 'Who has seen the Wind?' ". After brief appearance as a backup journalist at Buckingham Palace, a trip on the back of donkey in Greece, a horse down the Grand Canyon, hosting Popov and the Russian circus and modeling at Harrod's, she lead a full and happy life.
