Teta Karolina
This is from her nephew, Marijan (Mario) Mulig. She was an important part of my and my Mother's life. My Mother was Jelka Mulig, her Sister, and they were part of a family of six sisters and one brother.
I was born in Croatia and when I was two years old my Dad passed away. Aunt Karolina came to live with my Mother and me. When it was arranged for my Mom to go to the United States, I went with Aunt Karolina to Ratje, Slovenia. I stayed with her and my Grandparents for 5 months until it was arranged for me to go to the United States.
Aunt Karolina also came to the United States, and it was her husband, Tony, who played a role in my lifelong fandom of Cleveland's Baseball teams, and the sport of Baseball.
A touching story that just occurred after Aunt Karolina passed away. Our 10 year old Granddaughter received some rock candy (caramelized sugar) and her Mom had a memory moment of when she was little, Aunt Karolina and Sophie gave her and her sisters that candy. Of course, when my Daughter told me I remembered that was the same kind of candy my Mom and Aunt Karolina made for me.
With love from your Nephew and all of my family.
Rest in Peace, dear Aunt Karolina.

To the family of Karolina Kess.
Please know that Karolinas sisters in the St Patrick´s Catholic Women´s League were saddened to hear of her passing. I personally knew Karolina and her sister Sophie for a few years before Sophie passed.
Now they are together again.
We will keep you all in our prayers.
She was 1 sweet lady ! Take Comfort in knowing she is at peace. Memories are precious.
