Sad to hear of Ken's passing, my thoughts are with the Maycock family. I have lots of fond memories of playing with his childredn Brady and Ashley on his farm in Nanaimo. And enjoyed taking the drive out to Parksville to pick up my contacts and get in a little visit. He will be missed.

Ken had a big heart and laugh, generous with his time and with those around him. He introduced my family to west coast living through fishing, horse shoes on the beach, bathtub days and what it was to be a member of a caring community.

My condolences to the Maycock family. Ken was my optician from grade 6 (1962) and onward. An outstanding man of great credibility and an awesome genuine person.
Last saw Ken in Parksville fitting me with my glasses in the late 1990's.
Here's to you Ken.......Rest in Peace. You deserve it!
