Kevin Brophy Obituary

BROPHY, Kevin Edward June 25, 1957 - May 31, 2015 Passed at home with his loved ones on May 31, 2015. Kevin was born in Saskatoon, but raised in Victoria. He spent many years as a hairstylist and later moved on to glasswork and fusion. Kevin was an irreplaceable father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, and friend. Kevin loved his family and friends so much and was proud of his Metis heritage. Kevin enjoyed camping, canoeing and riding his Harley. His celebration of life will be held July 12 at The Docks, 1208 Wharf St., from 1 - 4 pm.

Just by chance I saw this today. Many years since I have seen Kevin, but he was a lovely gentle and creative soul. The very first time he did my hair at the sugar shack, by candlelight and a blow dryer on quite a few extension cords from next door. RIP Kevin.

since the days of the "Sugar Shack" in Esquimalt, Kevin was a genuine friend. Honest and humble, and always quick to show his endearing shy smile. As we got older we went about our own lives and our paths only crossed occasionally but when they did Kevin's smile and good nature would always lift my spirits.
