Lloyd Davey

DAVEY, Lloyd Robert 1924 2007 Lloyd died at the Jubilee Hospital, March 14, 2007 at the age of 82. Born in Huntsville, Ontario, Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Laura and Robert Davey and his first wife Eileen. Survived by loving wife Patricia, Victoria; cherished son Keith (Megumi), Long Beach, CA; sister Helen Austin (Ron), Huntsville ON. Lloyd was a special stepfather to Karen LaRone (Lloyd), Colleen Karir (Bob), Heather HusnikOsborne (David) and beloved Grandpa Lloyd" to their children. Lloyd served five years with the Princess Louise Dragoon Guards, four and a half years which were overseas with the Canadian Armored Corp, and over twenty-five years with the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests. He considered his planning and development of the Killarney Provincial Park, when he was Parks Supervisor for the Sudbury district, a lasting and great achievement. Golf was a primary recreational interest during his twenty-four years of retirement in Victoria until the hills became too steep and the fairways too long. Funeral service will be conducted by Father John Hannen at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 1525 Begbie (corner of Belmont) Wednesday, 21 March at 2:00pm followed by a reception in the Church Hall.
