Ted and David. So sorry to hear about your sister/mother. I think we had more of a connection than most Dr's receptionists, sharing many thoughts of the day and life. I enjoyed seeing her through pregnancy and the joy of becoming a mother. My heartfelt condolences to the whole family. Jan Horne

Lorna's Royal Jubilee Hospital alumnae send condolences to you all. The guest book entries from her classmates show her enthusiasm, humour and love of life.

I was so sad to read of the passing of one of our nursing colleagues from the class of the Royal Jubilee's class of January 1972. As student nurses we were thrust into a totally new world of living in residence and meeting the challenges of being trusted with the care of unwell people who relied on us to be knowledgeable, safe, efficient and caring. These experiences certainly bind students together so we become more like sisters as we shared our learning and growing. After graduation we all moved on to fulfill our lives and callings but the bonds were always renewed at reunions and gatherings. I truly hope Lorna "left" knowing she was loved and respected and will be deeply missed by her sisters of "Jan72".

It was years ago(in fact 45 yrs.)& yet it was yesterday, when I was introduced to Lorna,@ RJH....she was my roommate in our Probie class. We always called her Cooperdoop & after 3yrs of training graduated together as a kind of sisterhood in Jan.'72. We have laughed & cried together, studied, learned & worked together. There was dancing & singing too, which she was notorious for! Thankfully reunions & email kept us in touch. I am so sorry to lose such a lovely! My condolences to all of you.
