Lorne Salter Obituary

Lorne passed peacefully following a lengthy struggle with FTDementia. Predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Eileen, brother Cliff, and beloved son David, Lorne is survived by his loving wife, Donna, daughters Patti (Marty), Alana (Ron), daughter-in-law Monique and grandchildren Dane, Tysann, Larisa, Tealia, Julianne, Michael, Nicole, Natalie and Alicia (Matt), and many devoted family and friends from his youth in Burnaby and White Rock, and his careers in the RCAF, BC Airlines, CP Air, Heffley Lake Fishing Resort (owner/operator), Tod Mountain, Commissionaires, and as much loved "Pops" at Jazz Air. Lorne loved travel and being on the water.

Heartfelt thanks to the incredibly caring team on 2SW at RJH, especially Dr. Prinsloo, Dr. Mestlman, and "angels" Shannon and Caitlyn.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, September 27th from 2-5pm at the Capital City Yacht Club where he was a long-time volunteer and Past-Commodore. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Auxiliary to Saanich Peninsula Hospital or charity of your choice.

My deepest condolences to Donna, Patti & family. Have very fond memories of Lorne (well Mr. Salter to us at the time) watching him in the kitchen at the fishing resort sitting on the stairs tying fishing flies for his store. He will be deeply missed by all.
