Lorraine Campbell Obituary

CAMPBELL, Lorraine
Our beautiful mother Lorraine Campbell passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at Royal Jubilee Hospice, Victoria, BC from ovarian cancer at the age of 85 years old. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Lyle Campbell in 2018 and is survived by her children Delina Squire, Heather Markham (Chris), Kevin Campbell and Cory Campbell (Lisa), 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lorraine worked in long term care most of her life, as well as being a military wife, mother of 4 busy kids and was a single parent while her husband was working at sea. Our Mom was passionate about exploring the world, learning about different cultures and countries. Mom also loved all things 'royal family' and had wonderful experiences with her son Cory, wife Lisa and their children attending 'royal' events.
Lorraine loved and collected beautiful hats! She hosted many Easter Hat shows for the residents of rest homes, and they wore her beautiful hats to lunch, with her daughter Heather assisting.
Our lives are forever changed by our amazing mother, and we are all devastated at losing her. Her strength, pragmatic attitude and determination are gifts she has passed on to her children and family and we are grateful for her positive attitude, love, guidance and friendship.
We thank the doctors and nurses at Jubilee Hospital, Hospice, Dr. Smit and the BC Cancer Center for their kindness and care navigating us through the challenging processes of end of life.

A private family celebration will be held to celebrate Lorraine, and we will all wear her glorious hats! God speed Mom, Dad is waiting for you.
A donation in memory of Lorraine, can be made to the Victoria Hospice Society in lieu of flowers.

Lorraine and Lyle were wonderful neighbours. We had many gathering at their house. Lots of fun when Lorraine brought out her hats. My favorite picture is the neighbourhood ladies wearing her hats.

In memory of our remarkable mother.
You are dancing with Dad in Heaven

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.
