Louise BENSON Obituary

It is with much sadness that we say goodbye to Mom, but are happy to know she is at peace and reunited with Dad (Laurie 1935-2013) and sons Kevin (1970-1997) and David (March 1961-April 1961). Mom and Dad were teenage sweethearts, married for over 60 years. They enjoyed many family adventures. After Dad's passing, Mom missed him every single day. Mom was a very strong willed and independent woman. She had a unique way of living life. She loved chatting and would strike up a conversation with anyone who would listen. She especially loved her time spent with her aquafit friends at Timmies every Monday. She also loved her quiet time at home. She was a talented seamstress and loved to knit and crochet. Our memories as kids were her baked treats, especially her donuts and bread. Mom wore many hats while raising her five children. She was so proud of the lives they created, Roger (Stephanie), Judy (Jay), Stephen (Carole), Tom (Stacey) and Kevin. She especially loved her grandkids and great grandkids and would light up when any of them walked into the room. Grandkids: Shanna (Mike), Jeremy (Jen), Taylor, Madison, Quinten, Jesse (Katrina) Shayne, Chris (Hannah), Zach (Roxy), Nick and Sam. Great grandkids: Annie, Rose, Nora, Lucy, Clark, Gwendolyn, Penelope, Ryker, Javi and Lewis. The grandkids had lots of laughs with Grandma Lu. She especially enjoyed the bond she shared with granddaughter Taylor. Mom, you have left a void in all of our lives, we are happy you are free to spread your wings and back in Dad's loving arms. We love you!
In lieu of flowers, reminisce about Louise at Timmies over a cup of coffee.

It was a privilege to have a Louise and Laurie as parents when I had Kevin in our Kindergarten class at Sangster. ((He was such a great kid.). She sure loved her kids!!!
As the years went by we´d see each other in the grocery store or Mychosen Days. It was so nice to have a catch up. She was so consistently pleasant. It was a joy to be around her.
Our hearts go out to you. Love Colleen
