Just realized Manmohan Wirk died 2011. Brings back ancient memories. He was 3years older but 1 year ahead at Guy's Hospital. Was never one to allow one to forget that. Seems he mellowed with time and did well in Canada. Farewell MW. M.M . Ilahi MD. Illinois

I remember Dr. Wirk when I used to work at the Gordon Head Store in the early 90's. He was a lovely person and I always enjoyed talking to him. My condolences go out to his family.

Dear Kris and family:

I was saddened to hear of the passing of your father. I have very fond memories of a man who was an upstanding character and always greeted me with a smile and asked about family.

I admired and respected him as a friend and neighbour who gave unselfishly of himself.

I was honoured with the privilege and generosity of receiving an autographed copy from your dad of, "A History of Sikhs in Victoria, B.C." This is a gift I will always treasure. His generosity and passion for the Sikh community will live in our hearts forever.

Your dad's values of honesty, sincerity, and moral strength will live on in the legacy he has left with his family.

With warm thoughts

I was one of Dr Wirk's patients along with many members of my family in the '70's. He was always kind, and caring in dealing with all of our health concerns. May memories comfort you..his family in this time of pain and sorrow.
