Margaret MacGregor Obituary

MACGREGOR, Margaret (Peg) Passed away peacefully at the Priory on November 16, 2005. Peg was born in Ireland and came to Victoria in 1945 as a war bride. In time, she was joined by four sisters and a brother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 1996. Unfailingly kind, she was a devoted wife and mother to three daughters, Margaret, Eileen, and Maureen and grandmother to three, Mary, Robbyn, and Peter. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Peg was born a tease and a natural story teller who did most of her entertaining around the kitchen table with a pot of tea and a spot of something homemade. Her heart was large and her house ever-welcoming. Many thanks to the staff of Fir Cottage, especially Maureen, Carol, Sandra, Leslie and Val, and to the night staff who sat with Mom when the family was unable. A visitation will be held at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1155 Fort Street on Saturday, November 19 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. and a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrews Cathedral on Monday, November 21 at 10:00 A.M. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to Fir Cottage, The Priory. Slain leat a Maither. Go raibh maith agat! (Goodbye, Mother. Thank you!) 176971
