To the Mannix family - your Mom was my Grade 6 teacher at Strawberry Vale in 1966-67. She was a beloved teacher, and my sister and (old) school friends often mention her as one of our favourites. Those who give richly to others are themselves blessed, as she clearly was. Sorry to hear of your loss.

At last, she is together again with the love of her life, George.

I would like to offer my sympathy to the Mannix family. Ruth and George were my optometric patients for years and years.I wished I could have done more to help Ruth with vision problems over the last few years. She remained cheerful and retained her sense of humour despite health problems and I really admired her. She will be missed.

Oh Julie, I am so sorry for your loss. My sincerest condolences to you and the whole family. I don't know where it came from but my first thought was of the jars of pickled eggs on a shelf in the basement of your home on Grange. Your Mom always made your school friends so welcome.
