Marilyn Manson Obituary

MANSON, Marilyn Florence
1957 - 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Florence Manson, beloved wife of Ross Manson, and cherished mother of sons Jeremy, Marcus and Craig.
Born to Ronald and Audrey Benn, Marilyn was raised on the peninsula in a large and loving family. Following graduation, business courses blossomed into a 40-year career as a well-respected paralegal. She particularly enjoyed the talents and goodwill of her law family at Horne Coupar.
Her greatest joy was being a mother. Whether it was driving the soccer taxi, a school project or just listening, she was always there for them; be it large or small.
It was with gifted hands she enjoyed the piano but only in private, never comfortable being the centre of attention. Team play on the other hand, in Benn fashion she slipped easily into any lineup, whether as a youthful national basketball champion, a mom keeping the rally alive for the slo-pitch team or breaking 90 as a welcome golf partner.
She was a middle child in all ways having an older brother and sisters and a younger brother and sister. Marilyn is survived by sisters, Lorraine, Eleanor, and brother Allan.
The thoughts received to date from those close by all agree she was most lovely, and most kind. Marilyn will be dearly missed. We are forever grateful for the time we had with her and will honour her standards always.

A Celebration of the Lives of Marilyn and her mother, Audrey, is to be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 2:00pm at McCall Gardens' Sequoia Centre, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC.

Penny and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Marilyn's passing. I will remember Marilyn as the sweet, kind and capable woman I had the pleasure of working with over eighteen years at Horne Coupar and beyond. Ross and family, we know that you have many fond memories of lovely Marilyn. May they help to sustain you over this sad and difficult time.

I wish we could have had more time with Marilyn. She was my daughter's mother-in-law married to Craig. Everything said in her memory was true. A wonderful person and a very much-loved mother-in-law to my daughter. God Rest your soul, and Audrey. We will miss you but will think of you often. The Glenn Family

Marilyn was always such a wonderful big sister to Eleanor and always welcomed me into the family when I was there visiting with my cousin Eleanor. I remember all of us going off to Penticton to camp together and it was always such fun. I´m very sorry to hear of her passing and send my best wishes to her family for their loss. All the best from Marilyn´s cousin, Nancy Benn.
