Marion Glazebrook Obituary

Marion passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on December 10th, 2015. Born in Liverpool, England, she was a successful medical secretary at Broadgreen Hospital. The family emigrated to Canada in 1970 and she retired to Victoria in 1991, where she was an active member and a president of The Anglican Church Women of St. Mary's. A loving wife, caring mother, wonderful sister and daughter, and kind friend, she was predeceased by her devoted husband George after 53 years of marriage and is lovingly remembered by her daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky Badger (John), Patricia Glazebrook, Sarah Pearce (Ken), Allison Glazebrook (David Sharpe), Kate Glazebrook (Branko Gojsic) and beloved grand-children, Dylan, Colin, Duncan, Owen, Darko, Tim, Petra and Laird. Your love and wisdom are forever in our hearts. We would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Living for their excellent care. Funeral service will be held on Sunday December 20th at 1:30 pm at The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Oak Bay (1701 Elgin Road) with reception to follow (location TBA). In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Messages and condolences may be posted at www.firstmemorialfuneral.com.

My deepest condolences to the family - I remember Marion and George well from her brief stay at Douglas House. A lovely, gracious lady, she was also compassionate and caring, and sought out those residents who had no family or friends, to become a friend. Rest in peace, Marion...

Please accept my deepest condolences on your mom's passing. I remember bumping into her and your dad quite accidentally on the Metro in Montreal. They were as always quite gracious and not much suprised to run into the school friend of their daughters'. She was a true gentlewoman.
