Mark Stadnyk Obituary

STADNYK, Mark January 10, 1954 - May 29, 2022 Last Sunday morning, I lost my best friend of 53 years. He passed comfortably, surrounded by his devoted wife Charlene and step-son Jerad (Georgina). As a young man, Mark was a fine guitar player and in later years travelled the world working for Bryan Adams. Back home in Vancouver, he tirelessly worked on his vintage cars and had an amazing memorabilia collection. You are at peace now my dear friend and wherever you are KEEP ON ROCKIN'!

So sorry to hear of Mark's passing. Many great memories of "Lance" and the Rage band in the early 80's when they would play in Victoria. So many fun lasagna dinner parties at my mum's before their gigs. Mark had such a great sense of humour and an infectious smile. Was just thinking of Mark today when I was at a vintage car show and remembering that he had a vintage car and wondering if it might be in the show and then learned of his passing. So sad. Condolences to his family.

Mark was a good friend in high school. He was always there for me! Mark also shared his love of cars with my Dad; they had many conversations together sharing car stories in our backyard! Rest in peace Mark!

Condolences to Marks family. While Mark was still in high school we played in the band Orion. Mark was car crazy then owning an early fifties Cadillac before he had a drivers license. Mark would occasionally keep in touch from Vancouver giving me information and advise on vintage guitars. I have fond memories of the gigs we played and the laughs we shared.

My sincere condolences to all of Mark's family and close friends. Please post any details of a celebration of life, I would be honoured to pay my respects to the man who taught me how to play a guitar solo, back in 1974! Dan Beveridge, Mark and I used to hang out a lot in those days!

I grew up across the street from the Stadnyk family home and as a kid I remember Mark coming home for visits, walking down the road with his wild hair, flashy converse runners (always a different color) and always a smile on his face! Biggest memories of Mark are when he gave us a copy of the record release from his band the Rage and when we got to sit in his Bentley when he came to visit his mom, we were over the moon! I am glad he had such a wonderful time in life and I am also very sorry for your families loss, Rock on Mark!
