Martha Shepard

SHEPARD, Martha Born December 12, 1911 in Toronto passed away peacefully in Victoria, August 1, 2009. Martha was the first Director of the Cdn. Bibliographic Center and the National Library of Canada, a post she held until her retirement. She led a full life, travelling extensively. A large part of Martha's life was spent caring for the many pets she loved over the years. She will be greatly missed by special friends Art and Lorraine, Lib, Judith and Toronto friends, Betsy Fee and daughters Barbara and Nancy. Martha enjoyed many years of her retirement being pampered by the wonderful Wellesley staff. Many thanks to Island View Place for making Martha's final days comfortable. 554939
